Legoland
As the three fair haired princes said goodbye to Sentosa Island we were all sad to move on from what had been three days of non-stop action and fun. The only casualties being all of the bandaids from the first aid box and a lost cap. Our knights had shone well in the sticky heat, not just because of the perspiration glow, but we had managed zero meltdowns.
As our rusty van, oops, I mean trusty van, took us steadily towards the Singapore Malaysian boarder I organised my portfolio of travel documents and doctors letters explaining the bounty of drugs we were carrying.
This is the photo I managed to take after we had passed through customs in Singapore and Malaysia and were released on the other side. Yes, RELEASED!

Why, do you ask did someone need to be released? Well, that's what happens after you're detained. Pulled aside to a small room full of officers, and had your phone confiscated, and all of your photos deleted. Because apparently, you're not meant to take photos in the customs area. Well, OKAY! I think I've learnt my lesson.
As we catapulted our way across Malaysia towards our destination I was excited to think we were travelling on an expressway without limits, how exciting, it was like being in Germany, Autobahn all the way! Until I noticed there was a 100km/hr speed limit, which must really be a guideline as surely our trusty driver, in our rusty van wouldn't be doing close to 150km/hr if it wasn't, would he?
Randomly in the distance a colourful world rose from the desert and we saw the almighty sign.... Legoland!

The Legoland Hotel became our new and exciting world, with everything being built from oversized blocks of primary colours, how could you not be happy?
Our Kingdom suite awaited us as we travelled in the world's silliest elevators. Disco balls and dancing music came on and the effect was instantaneous, three dancing aspies! Adventure continued as the boys solved a puzzle to unlock a safe that revealed yet more Lego and every item in their bedroom was Lego themed.
Even the soap looked like Lego, not that it encouraged them to use it. Nobody wanted to be guilty of rubbing off the Lego soap Studs, then it would just be soap, not Lego soap. I could see their logic, and somehow agreed.
While Casey found his happy place in the Hotel shop, Archie sort out adventure making Lego Swords and encouraging other knights to join him on his quests.

Bailey surrounded himself with Lego and was content to build as many objects as he could. I'm sure he would have been happy if we just left him there all day with the occasional parcel of food delivered.
As the end of Day 4 drew to a close we discovered a handy mall, just next door to the Hotel and within it lots of yummy Malaysian dinner options and even a KFC. All three aspies were happy and retired to bed to have Lego dreams knowing that the next day, we were taking on the theme park!
The following day the Legoland buffet breakfast was extensive with its choices. Everyone found something they loved and filled themselves to the brim. English breakfast, korean nibbles and a curry on top. We didn't need lunch!

With full tummies and our two day passes ready, off we ventured, determined to make the most of the thirty minutes head start we had over regular tourists who where not staying in the Motel. All two hundred of them. When they finally arrived. After lunch. It's safe to say that in reality, we pretty much had all of Legoland to ourselves!
So we....
Got our drivers licences...
So we....
Got our drivers licences...
And our boating licences...
Although I'm not sure how Mr Stargazer got his...
Casey proved to all that in fact, he really is the King of the Castle...
And that modern day knights still ride horses.
Bailey found a friend...
Archie won a few races...
And Mr Stargazer even forgot about taking photos for a few moments...
After a long day of fun we retired to our Hotel room, and the boys went for a swim in the rooftop pool. I relaxed on a deck chair for a while, waiting for a cocktail waiter, but alas, he did not appear. The Legoland Hotel is somewhat dry, not a waiter in sight I choose to relax on a Lego raft instead. (And no, you don't have to leave any comments about being surrounded by studs!)
Day 6 brought yet more food, adventure and water as we headed off to the water park. Located right next door to Legoland, the water park had plenty of rides, all of which were age friendly and without too much adrenaline. Although Bailey was looking for a bit more of the thrill, Archie met a new friend and found he could go on every slide, which made him very happy.
I built my own Lego Raft as I floated around a makeshift river and couldn't imagine being any more relaxed.
(Except if there was a waiter. With a cocktail... hint, hint Legoland...)

After many hours of waterlogged fun we decided to make the most of the final hours of our Legoland two day passes and headed back to the theme park. Archie and I went around and around and around the castle ride. It was so quiet that the operator didn't even ask us to get off between rides, so we just kept going!
Bailey took on some more Lego races and Casey got to program a Star Wars Robot.

Our knights had yet again proven themselves to be noble princes as our time in Legoland drew to a close. Casey was tired as he'd been struggling with Asthma and Bailey had lost several layers of skin from his fingers from all of the Lego assembly he had mastered over the three days. And we managed to loose yet another cap.
So, on our last day at Legoland we had mixed emotions. We had all had a wonderful time...

And were sad to be leaving...
But we all felt that we had such a good time, that we would surely be back, for more Lego fun!
Stay tuned for Chapter 3 as we return to Singapore and the Singapore Zoo!
